A "push" riot at a coffee-stall in George-street, Sydney, near the railway station wound up with a revolver shot and the arrest of the coffee-stall proprietor. Winfield Henry Slater keeps the coffee-stall. About 12.15 a.m. on Sunday a number of "roughs" invaded it, and after a few preliminaries began to break the crockery and tear down the coverings. A revolver was fired, and Ernest Stohl, who stood near, was slightly injured on the elbow by the bullet. He was attended to at Sydney HospitaL Slater was arrested and charged with shooting with intent to do bodily harm.
