SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.

The annual meeting of the Auckland Sunday-school Union was held last evening In the Church of Christ. There was n very large attendance. The aniiuni report stated that two new auxiliaries hart been formed, one at "VYhnngarei with eight schools and the other at Cambridge with four. Twenty-seven schools joined the Union during the year, as against 21 for 100 C and 15 for 1900. The total number of schools now In the Un!on was 157. The directors' report stated that the trading proflt for last year iras only £57 3/1. An unappropriated balauce of profits ftom the - previous year, amounting to £75 10/7, was standing nt the credit of profit and loss aoconnt, but against this sum nnd last year's profit a grant had been asked for mid made to the general commutes for its special work, so that the books closed showing a balance to the debit of profit and loss account of £S0 13/4. The financial statement showed receipts amounting to £6350 3/U, including £2079 7/G In sales, £3708 S/<s in payment of accounts. The expenditure for the year amounted to £0374 2/7, the principal Items of wJiicli were cash purchases £2497 0/1. bills payable £1361 O/T, depot expenses £1130 14/, rent and Insnrance £300 10/11. The balaiiee-slioot showed nn excess of liabilities over assets amounting to ;SSO 15/4. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. At the conclusion or the meeting a conference on primary work was opened by Mr G. Tiller, president of the Wellington Sunday-school Union.
