TRANSVAAL PROSPECTS.
Abe Bailey's Brighter Picture,
LONDON, October 21.
Mr. Abe Bailey, the Band magnate, who is visiting London, declared in an interview that the agricultural and mining industries in the Transvaal uvere in an unprecedentedly flourishing condition, and .that sufficient native labour would be forthcoming to gradually supersede the Chinese. ' .
The introduction on his farm,.he added, of well-bred sheep from Australia, and English cattle and horses, had proved a great success, and he was now elaborating a scheme for the scientific training of young South Africans in Europe, to enable them to study each country's most flourishing agricultural speciality.
