The building was insured for £11.000 in the Standard Company ol Queensland, and most of this amount was reinsured. DRAINAGE-AND.'DISEASE. MASTERTONi ; this day. During the twelve months ended Sep< tember 30 the following number of case*. of infectious diseases have been reported to the Masterton borough authorities:--:: Scarlet fever, 45; diphtheria, 7; typhoid fever, 3.
