Speaking at a meeting of the Auckland branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation, the secretary (Mr T. Harle Giles) stated that on hearing that "raggins" was taking place in the railway service in the-South, the executive of the branch made inquiries as to whether it was prevalent in the cleaning shed here and were satisfied that there was no cause for complaint. The supervision here was such that it was impossible for any disorderliness to be carried on. Everything at the Auckland cleaning sheds was clone as it ought to be, and voungfeiiows entering there, were not subjec-ced to the treatment that ,waa .said to prevail-.in the South. ■■. :; ,-:>.: ■■"-
