(Received 0.55 a.m.) -.. MELBOURNE, this day. Orchard has been sentenced to three years' imprisonment for throwing a box of gelignite down the Great Extended Hustlers Mine on August 13. [Orchard threw the explosive down the shaft of the mine, wrecking the cage. He afterwards made an unsuccessful attempt to' strangle himself in his cell.]
