An accident, which resulted fatally, occurred on the Napier Harbour Board's dredge J.D.O. One of the workmen, Michael Henry, was sitting on the grab holding a rope to which was attached a piece, of timber that had fallen into the hopper, when the grab-chain carried away, aud the grab, with Henry on it, fell.into the hopper. In the act of falling the grab canted, and buried him. under the water, but he was able to crawl out, and was. then sent to the hospital. It was found on examination that Henry was severely injured internally, and that one of his ribs had been driven through- the lungs. He died" at the -hospital yesterday. An" anonymous.
