Wilson, who acted for seven rears as secretary, and recently leSft the district. The following officers were elected: Messrs Mores by; president; C. Meredith; sec.; H. rtnsh" treasurer: committee, Messrs. Quick, Xuie, Shaw, and S-nadden; ladies' committee, Mesdames BrnnskeU, Bush, Edwards, Moresby, Misses Shaw and Coote. It was decided to leave the date of the opening of the season ;in abeyance in the meantime, and open one asphalt court for play. The following prizes won last year were, presented by the' preslI dent: Tennis—Ladies singles, Miss Edwards' combined singles. Miss D. Kenny and Miss Meredith; men's singles, Mr. — erodltii. .ejro quet—Ladles singles. Mrs.- Bell; doubles," Mrs. Bell and Miss Shaw. This week the local post office has been work—g very short handed, owing to four of the staff being laid up with influenza.
