The recent boisterous weather is not confining itself to the North Island only, for after a few spring days the gale came up from the south-west and gives every indication of lasting. So far the spring has not borne out the predictions of the weather wise, cold nights and bleak days being altogether too much in evidence to favour early vegetation.
