RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MAUNGATUROTO V. WAIPU. MAUNGATUROTO, Monday. A football match of more than usual local interest was played here on Saturday between Manngaturoto and Waipu, the game being won by Maungaturoto by 5 points to nil. WAIHI V. TAURANGA. WAIHI, Monday. The selector (Mr R. McWhirter) has chosen the following players to represent Waihi in the Rugby football match with the Tauranga team at Waihi next Saturday:— Fullback, Harding; three-quarters, S. Darby, Forster, W. Darby; five-eighths, Pondrell and McDermott; halfback, Thomas; wingforward. Cotter; forwards, Farley, Arns, Cook. Hamilton, McConnell, Ryan, J. Moore.
WAITJKU V. AUCKLAND .JUNIORS. The match between Waiuku and Auckland juniors at Waiuku oo Saturday afternoon was won by the latter. Hardwick scored a try iv the first spell, and Barer one in the second, the latter try being converted. Bennett and Bright scored for Waiuku, neither being converted. LOWER WAIKATO REPS. The following team has been chosen to represent the Lower Waikato Rugby Union In their match against the Franklin Union, to be played at Taupiri on Saturday, 17th inst., viz.: Draffin and Reisterer (Ngaruawahia), Powell, Hall, and Haddon (Taupiri), D. It. and J. Vincent, Waite, Foote, and McCauley (Rangiriri), Gleeson, Callaghan, and A. McKillop (Huntly). Emergencies: Thompson and Gall (Rangiriri). Peckham. Johnston and Cox (Hui.tly), Hlnton and Lang (Ngaruawahia).
All members of the junior representative team selected to play Taranaki next Saturday must attend at the City Football Shed for practice to-night.
