S.M. COURT.
YESTERDAY. (Before Mr C. C. Kettle, S.M.) Claim for Commission. —G. H. Grayson (Dr. Bamford) v- J. G. Turner (Mr McVeagh). This was a claim for £16 5/, commission on the sale of a honse. Evidence was given for the plaintiff -to the effect that plaintiff and defendant each had a house for sale, and they mutually agreed to assist each other In disposing of their property, the nsnal commission to be paid. Plaintiff s wife met a Mr Wallace, who looked at her house. She subsequently mentioned to Mr Wallace that defendant's house -was for sale, and he ultimately purchased it. For the defence it was stated that plaintiff was displeased at his wife's action in mentioning that defendant's house was for sale, and had so expressed himself. The legal points were argued by Dr. Bamford and Mr McVeagh. Judgmeut was reserved. Claim for Work Done.—William Smith, contractor (Mr. W. E. Hackett), sued Mary Termohlen for £1 6/ for work done and material supplied. After hearing evidence judgment was entered for plaintiff with costs S/.
