A Bequest for a Wharf.—A letter was read rcgaiding the necessity for a wharf dt tie junction of the Waiwawa and Olaeo Kiveis, and for a road thereto, as owing lo the former Laving silted up the sceamer could jut get to Gumtown Wharf. TUe chairman suggested that the Otaeo River .vouli give access to the Gumtown-road. It was decided to request Mr. Meikle, the agent for the Northern Company, to investigate, and the engineer to report upon the \vL"j!« mutter.

Would-be Selectors' Difficulties.—Mr. Carroll , mentioned the difficulties experienced by wou'o-bt sflectors iv obtaining land for eettleuu-ut in Coromandel County. There was a con&kjeiablfi area of land to t&e south of the Kuaotuau Recreation Reserve, wliicu. Ue considered, should be cut up in areas of about ten atres. The difficulty arisins; through the dual control of Land Board and Warden, might be overcome If applications were referred to the County Council. It was decided to write to the lion. Jas.
