During the year ended June 30. there ■were 446,080 hales of -wool exported from New Zealand, against 415,381 bales for the preceding 12 months. There has been ' an increase m shipments from all porte except Dunedin, where there was a. de-' crease of 302 bales, and Napier, which shows a falling-off of 2740 bales. Gisbome shows an increase of 4969 bales. ' The following figures show the number of bales shipped from the various ports:, —Wellington, 119,805; Lyttelton, 80,796; . Napier, 58,045; Gisborne," 36,491; Timaru, \ 35,376; Dnnedin. 34,647; Bluff, 25,302; Auckland, 17,475; OamarUj 13, 317; Pie- / ton, 11,166; Wanganui, 9515; Waitara;and New Plymouth, 4742. Total, 446,680. A. mairied woman named Susan Denniaon, was walking along Alexandra-, street, last night -when she fell over an embankment, receiving injuries which, necessitated her removal to the hospital.
