A concert, in aid of the funds of the Epsom Bowling and Croquet Club, will be held in the Epsom Hall this evening. A large and extensive musical programme will be provided, including solos by Misses Garland and Biggs and Messrs. Ryan and G. Bagnall. Ramsey's draper shop, situated between the Hamilton Hotel and Sondes' chemist shop, was completely gutted by fire last night. At last night's meeting of the Eden\ Terrace Road Board, the following resolution was passed: —"That a letter be written to the Auckland Tramway Company urging that more cars be provided to meet the demands of the passenger traffic." Several residents comDlainod bitterly of the fact that it was almost impossible, to board a car in the district during the busy portion of the day, as. the full complement of passengers was generally taken on board at Kingsland. Many of those whfl wished to get to town by nine o'clock in the mearang, generally reached tiwix destination late.
