The following is tne "EEiga Commissioner's cable, dated London July 13: The mutton market is. firm, with good demand Prime quality Canterbury brand sold at 4Jd; North Islana, 3|d. Lamb is in steady demand, chiefiy for light weight. Cauterbnry sold at 5Jd; other brands, od The beef market is steady. Hinds were quoted at 3&d, and fores at 31d. The butter market is Dfekes, eicept for the very best quality. Choicest New Zealand sold at 99/, and Danish at 109/. There has been no change in the cheese market since last week.
The hemp market is quiet, but firm, at unchanged rates.
The cocksfoot seed market is firm a better demand is experienced, and prices arp rising. Bright, clean New Zealand seed 171b to the bnsheL O n spot, fetched 58/ per cwt.
