THE KOLAPORE CUP.
AN EXCITING FINISH. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyriglit.) LONDON, July 13. At the Bisley Eifle Meeting the finish tor the Kolapore Cup was most excitin". The Motherland finished first with 778, and Australia needed 25 to tie, with five shots to go. Every shot was a bull's-eye, and the teams thus tied.
The total is a record for team shootm", beating the School of Musketry's 775 made in 1901.
At the 200 yards range Australia led with 260, Guernsey and Canada being next with 257 each, and the Motherland 252. At the end of shootin<» at 500 yards Canada totalled 524, Australia 523, and the Motherland 521. At 600 yards England scored 257 against Australia's 255. The Duke of Connaught (InspectorGeneral of the British Forces) and Lcrd Roberts (Commander-in-Chief) were present and watched the shooting. The scores were as follows:— England 778 Australia ~.., . 778 Canada 767 Guernsey . ..„. " 740 India 728 East Africa — 718 Rhodesia 679 As cabled on Saturday, the Motherland takes the Cup, as her team made the better score at 600 yards. The members of the Australian team receive £80.
