The tramways employees continue to adhere to their determination to carry no more than the licensed number of passengers, even at rush times, all those standing being promptly put off. Very comfortable for those on the cars, no doubt, but disconcerting to those on the side walk. The handling of the traffic to and: from the football match was carried out without any difficulty, the few cars which were rushed being reduced to their proper .complement. Many people accepted the inevitable, and made no attempt to catch the cars, the number walking into town being far .larger than usual. The night traffic was. handled --without difficulty, an extra, number, of <sub- being , put, on. _
