TAIRUA BROKEN HIZL.
The rise is up 190 ft The reef still maintains her size and value, and there is a strong inflow of water coming from the lode in the back of the rise. The crosscut eastward on Seavers leader is in 81ft. This leader is now carrying good payable ore, which is being saved for treatment. The main low level is up 243 ft
Golden Belt:—The drive south at No. 1 level has been extended 17ft. this week. The reef still maintains its size. and about five feet of ore.is being taken out in the drive. Ore is still showing on the hanging -wall, and strong colours of gold can be seen at each breaking down. There is a decided 1 improvement in the ore treated from this point. Operations have been discontinued at No. 2, and the men put on to strip the reef, from the walls at No. 1 level.
