JESSIE MACLACOCHLAN- CONCERT COMPANY.
Miss Jessie Maclachlan and her concert company will appear to-night at Hi= Majesty's Theatre in the first of their four farewell concerts. In order to mark the return to Auckland of their distinguished compatriot St. Andrew's Society will give a. welcome to iliss Madaehlan thSs afternoon at 4.30, at the Star Hotel, and will attend the theatre in the evening. The fine pipe band of the Society will turn out in their full strength, and will escort Miss Maelachlan from her hotel to the theatre. The wonderful success achieved by the company on their first visit to Australia has been repeated on the return visit, and there is every re-ison to expect a similar result in New Zealand. In addition to the "star," the other members of the company are Mr. Douglas Young, a fine Scottish tenor, 'and John McLinden, the talented 'cellist, and Mr. Robert Buchanan, tne able pianist and accompanist.
