TOWN OF HOROPITO.
MALN NORTH TRUNK LINE. Our readers interested in the coming auction sale of this new township situate on the 'Main North Trunk Railway, and which Messrs. Macdonald Wilson and Co., in conjunction with Mr. T. Mandeno Jackson, will conduct at Auckland on the 24th instant, will find specially interesting the following extract taken from the "Taihape News": "Horopito. This is- a township that has practically sprung into existence during the last few months, and it gives promise of being a prosperous and populous town. It is distant some eight miles from Raetihi and Ohakune. Thertf is a Settlement known as the Gladstone Blo.ck close by. The Government are now constructing a road to connect some back settlers-with the Horopito station. The milling industry will doubtless create some considerable trade for the station. Although no .sections have been placed upon the market, many birildiags have been ■erected, 1 '
