The 27th anniversary of 'the Battle of the Boyne was celebrated by the Orangemen of Auckland by a social in St. George's Hall. Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was a very large attendance. The District Master, Bro. W. Rose, presided, and there were also on the platform two past grand masters and the provincial grand master of the Black Institution. The meeting having been duly opened with the National Anthem, songs and recitations were given, interspersed with dances. Bros. Rose and Donaldson acted as M.'sC. During supper the usual loyal and enthusiastic toasts were honoured, and tne meeting closed with "Auld Lang Syne." Milne and choyce's sale. Heavy reductions in every department.—(Ad.)
