Xgatiawa.—The contractors have got a fair start on the low level, and are worting two shifts. Very fair progress is being made with the excavations for the ground tram line from the new low lev.el to the head of the aerial tram.

Sunbeam.—Stoping operations have been carried on as usual, and 20 tons of ore have been minpd and forwarded to to° mill for treatment. The battery is now only worting S horrs per day, and has crushed 50 Tons of ore for the past week, producing fSSoz of amalgam, and one ton of concentrates worth £29 per ton. The amalgaii on hand totals 2310z, and the concentrates 4 rorss 4}cwt.

Rising Sun.—The reef in drive going north from the winze still maintains Its size and values. This drive has been discontinued for the present. The reef has been driven on a total distance of 33ft north and south from the bottom of the winze, and maintains its size and valnes the whole distance. We are now driving a crosscut from the bottom of the winze into the hanging-wall to cut the hanging-wall branch of the reef, which should be reached in a distance of 23ft if it keeps its present underlie. Part of the week the prospectors have been driving on the cap of the reef on the surface drive north of main workIngs, the branch being driven on is from 2 to 6 inches in width, and appears to be getting wider going down. The country is all that can be desired for gold, and nice mineral can be eeen in the stone.
