INTERPROVINCIAL FOOTBALL
. BULLER V. AUCKLAND. The Ranfurly Shield Rugby football match between Buller and Auckland was played at Alexandra Park this .afternoon. The conditions were unfavourable to good football, frequent showers falling over the already sodden ground, while the ball was greasy and heavy. Geo. W. Smith was unable to play foT Auckland, and J. Twiname took his place. Following are the teams:—
