To-morrow the following duly-elected delegates from No-License League will leave the Manakau by the Ngapuhi to attend the Colonial Convention to be held next week in Wellington:—Messrs. R. French, C. G. Hill, J. Jenkins, D. Whyte, L. M. Isitt, J. Lock, L. Falkner, Mr. and Mrs. Harding, Mrs. Dewar, Mr. and Mrs. Maedermott. Mrs. Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Christie left on Thursday,, and Mr. Andrews, and others go on Monday. This will be the first thoroughly representative gathering, as each electorate is limited to two delegates. At the monthly committee meeting of Auckland Horticultural Society held during the week, it was decided, to purchase a silver challenge cup of the value of £12 12/, for competition at the Daffodil Show held in September next. It will be named the "Daffodil Challenge Cup," and must be won three times in succession, or five times at intervals before becoming the property of the winner. It will be open to all-comers, and will not be awarded unless there are at least two competitors. The collection is' to comprise 40. distinct varieties, of which 30 kinds must be represented by at least three blooms. In any case/ not more than nine blooms may be shown of aey, oae tiad.
