FEDERAL BANK NOTES.
(Received 10.49 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Federal Treasurer has a scheme in hand for the State issue of notes. The Department has drafted Bills dealing ■with banking and the issue of Federal bank notes. These proposals have not yet come before the Cabinet, and are not likely to be presented to Parliament this session. Details of the proposals have not been revealed.
