GERMAN EAST AFRICA.
AN INSANE CHARGE. ENGLISH AND KAHL PETERS. BERLIN, JuJy 12. The " Riechsbets," the organ of the German Protestants, declares that malicious English intrigues are the sole cause of the accusations as to the maltreatment of natives preferred against Dr. Karl Peters in regard to East Africa. The paper accuses the British Ambassador (Sir Frank Laseelles) of bribing a German journalist to circulate stories discrediting the German colonial policy.
