SILENT LOVER'S BEQUEST.
A romantic story of a silent worshipper comes from Clifton, Bristol, where a Miss Lodge has inherited a considerable fortune from the late Mr Cope Proctor, son of Alderman Proctor, of Clifton. The testator, who was only twenty-one years of age, had attended the same chapel as the lady, and although lie obtained an introduction to her, never declared his affection, becanse, it is said, he anticipated that death would soon remove him.
