ANOTHER ACCOUNT.
HOW THE AUSTRALIAN FAILED. The following is another description of the Squires-Burns fight for the championship:—
Round I.—The men came together quickly, and Squires forced his opponent around the ring. Burns at first backed away. Then they clinched, and both tried to punch in clinches, but failed.
Burns immediately afterwards felled the Australian with a right on the jaw. Squires arose quickly, and went in, scoring on his opponent's body with the right. They clinched and worked across the floor.
Squires swung his right to the body, arid" left to the ear, and Burns lajlded with his right on the head, and following up with another, knocked the Australian down.
Squires arose, but was promptly knock, ed down again, and counted out.
