EPSOM ROAD BOARD. The Epsom Road Board met last night Present: Messrs W. R. Bloomfield (in the c-htirl, S. Hesketh, and A. McDonald Rates.—lt was decided, on the motion of the Chaiiiiian, to strike a general rate of i*d in the £, ami a hospital and charitable ! aid of Jft in the £. Tramways.—The resolutions, passed at a I meeting of local bodies held at Onehunsa i last week, were confirmed, and the ChaSs ; man was instructed to represent the Boa'-d ;at any further conference. The Chairman stated that he had waited on the manastnz director of the Tramways Co., and had'V devoured to secure a reduction in the fare irom Owens-road to the tramway barn | from 2d to Id, as heretofore.
