Professor Treat, of the Leland-Stan-ford University, who is making a tour of the Western Pacific and studying the influence of these countries on Europe, is at present in Sydney, after having visited India and Java, THE PREMIERS' CO3TFEEENCE. (Received 9.53 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. The Premiers' Conference- resolved that the present was not an opportune erne to alter the system of appointing State Governors. It was also decided that it w»3 desirable to establish a permanent exhibition of the products of each State.
