CHEISTCHURCH, Sunday. , For some time past disputes have arisen between the Exhibition authorities and the proprietress of the cterry rooms concerning the right.of th'S litter! to Have an advertising placirtf oii' al statue of Apollo, placed in th« j6s&i ei) T . ridor just outside of the door, of one-of the rooms. One of the Exhibition officials went to remove the placard list night, and the proprietress interfered. A struggle ensued, in the course of whith Apollo was thrown from Jus pedestal, and was dashed to pieces oii tlie floor. The statue formed part of the collection secured by Sir Joseph Ward, itt Italy.'
