END OF THE DELUGE. (Received 9.33 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The rain has now ceased, after having continued throughout Saturday and Sunday. Altogether 470 points fell in Sydney.
VENTURA'S DEPARTURE DELAYED.
SYDNEY, March 17. The departure of the mail steamer Ventura for Auckland and San Francisco has been postponed until Tuesday evening, owing to heavy weather impeding the work, of coaling the vessel.
