OHINEMCRI JOCKEY CLCB. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEJROA. Saturday. The Oliinemurl Jockey Club's annual I meeting was commenced to-day in line i weather, there being a large attendance of tae.pnblic. The racing was interesting, and The flelds were good In most cases. Mr C. O'Connor, starter, got the fields away In his usual efficient style, while Mr J. Clarkiu was judge.- The double event totalisator was used for the first time in connection with the meeting, the sum of £504 being invested, while the seven backers of the wluiiing double, Aristocrat and Lady Gladys, drew £63 5/ each. The total handled by the machines was £4387 10/. following are the results: — i-itiorte Handicap, four furlongs.—H. Birch's Discoverer V.i (Julian), 1; w. Gall's I Lady Cressy 7.0 (Peel), 2; It. Hannous I Crispinot 7.3 (Brady), 3. Also started: HI--kuai 9.0, Ruakaka 7.2, Fiefamosca 7.0, Dar- ■ dauus 7.0, Azof! 6.12, Seabohm 6.7. Discoverer was the first to show out, and, holding a lead all the way, beat Lady Cressy by a length. Time,. 60 2-us. Dividends, £1 11/ and 18/. Handicap Hurdle Rae/v two miles.—S. G. Lindsay's Yolettc «.12 (A. Gray), 1; l>. Moraghau's Silica 10.6 (Neary). 2; w. Langs St. Harp 10.10 (Julian). 3. Ouly the three started. Yolette lauded over the last hurdle first, and won by a length from Silica, who beat St. Harp by six lengths lor second place. Time, 4m. Dividend, £2 9/. Netherton Welter Handicap, seven furlongs.—J. TwohiH's Freemount 9.8 (Brown), I 1; K. Hanon's Napenape 5.7 (Brady), 2; C. I Lyneh's Lochbuhie 8.13 (Julian), 3. These were the only starters. Xapenape lost several lengths at the post, but made up his ground very quickly, and was only beaten by two lengths by Freemount, wuo, however, had a bit in hand. Time, lm 30 2-bs. Dividend, £1 1/. Karangauake Handicap, five furlongs.— P. James' Aristocrat 7.8 (Buchanan), 1; 11. Birch's Discoverer !).S (Julian), 2; J. Ilanon's Miss Crispin' 7.6 (Brady), ij. Also started: Ilikuoi ».O, Duart 8. i<;, Kuakaka 7.2, Fleramosca 7.0, Lady Cressy 7.0. llroklyn 6.10. Discoverer showed the way into the straight, where Aristocrat came through, and beat him home by half a length after a line struggle. Time, lm i 3-ss. Dividends, £1 11/ and £1 14/. Ohinemurl Cup, one mile and a-cuarter. —S. Lindsay's Lady Gladys 7.5 (Whittaker), 1; K. Heaton's Baltimore 6.12 (Perry), 2; 1. Nelson's Bully 8.10 (Moouey), 3. Also started: Millie 8.7, Haeremai 7.5, Storyteller U. 12. Millie led for the first half of the journey, but in the second round Lady Gladys assumed the lead, and held it to the finish, winning by a length from Baltimore. Time, 2m 11s. Dividends, £3 and It/. - Komata Handicap, seven furlongs.—S. Williams' Paroquet 7.12 (W. Chaafe), 1; K. Jones' Field-Marshal 7.8 (Buchanan), 2; P. Smith's Seabohm 7.4 (W. Gray), 3. Also started: Leonette 8.8; Bump 7.7; Leonette was left at the post. After a splendid linisu Paroquet won by half a length, Seabohm, a similar distance back, third. Time, lm -JUs. Dividend, £3 6/. Paeroa Steeplechase Handicap, about two miles and a-half.—Mrs Ross' Kanaka 9.V1 (Dufty), 1; A. Tonge's Sophia 10.0 (W. Wilson), 2. Also started: Baritone 10.0, Brigham 9.10, Bendigo 0.9. The winner was the only horse to^complete the course without mishaps. Brigham fell at the Brush fence on the first round, and Bendigo ran off. Baritone fell at the double iv the second round, and Sophia came down at the last hurdle but one, leaving Kanaka to finish aloue. Tonge, owner of Sophia, mounted her, and rode her in. Wilson was stunned, but none of the riders were seriously Injured. Time, 5m 365. Dividend, £5 16/. St. Patrick's Handicap, six furlongs.— Worsp Brothers Cachuca 7.7 (Brady), 1; P. James' Aristocrat 8.0 (Buchanan), 2; J. JTwonill'e Freeinomit 8.2 (Brown), 3.
