Horses: At tho Haymarket on Friday last wp had a heavy yarding and good competition for all sound, young, useful sorts. Aged draught- sold at from £12 10/ to £34 1...■': young waggon and express sorts, £.7 10/ to £:>7 10/; unbroken medium colts and fillies. £26 to £29; buggy horses and good hacks. £14 5, to £22 10/; light harness and ordinary hacks. £4 10/ to £16; weeds and aged sort, at all prices; van, £11; springcart. £13; -ig. £14 5/.

At Waiuku on Saturday we held our usual monthly sale. The yards were well filled. Dairy cattle sold at late rates. Those close up. £5 to £7 17.6; backward, £3 to £4 12/6. other stock improved slightly in value. Tiineo tn four year old steers. £5 14/6 to £6 7/6; two and a-half year old. to £4 11/; yearlings aud IS months. £1 18/ to £2 10/; empty cows. £-1 5/ to £3 7/6: fat heifers, £4 10/ to £•- 6. ; strong calves, £1 1/ to £1 11/: a cart, £12. We sold on account of iir D. A. Gray household furniture and effects, very satisfactory prices being realised.

At Retnuera on Thursday dairy cattle wore penned in usual numbers and met with a dull sale, those near their prolit selling from £2 to £.1 12/6; store cattle at late values. Fat and young calves in full supply: small from 2/ to S/; medium, to IS/; others, to 27'; no heavy weights penned; 7S sold. There wae an average yarding of fat cattle of choice quality, which soid freely at recent quotations. Steers ranged in price from £6 10/ to £12 12/6; cows, £3 10/ to £S 7/6; 303 sold. The sheep pen 3 we-e well tilled with a good class of mutton and sold steadily throughout at a slight advanco on late sales, best wethers selling to 23/ <s_orni.#?wes to 22/3 (shorn), lighter -weights 13/6 to 18/: 1490 sold. Lambs, in e.tra large numbers, were in demand at from 8/ to 12/6 for small; heavy, 11/ to 19/ D; 357 sold. One hundred and thirtytbro<» pigs penned; prices easier all round. Few- small penned sold at 15/; porkers, to 33•'; baconers. to £3. Poultry sold freely; roosters to A/2, hens to 2/3. ducks to 1/10; 48 sold. Do_.. £1 1/ each.
