The s.s. Te Anau left Gisborne at 10.30 a.m. to-day, and should arrive at Auckland about the same hour to-morrow. The steamer Como, 5137 tons, left New York on September sth for Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, L/ytteaton, and Port Chalmers. Messrs. Lave and Sons are building at their Auckland yards a 2Sft fishing boat for Napier. She will be fitted with a 5 h.p. Zealandia engine. ' The s.s. Kotoiti arrived at 5.30 o'clock this morning from Wellington, via ports. She left .again for NfifW Plymouth, Nelson and Wellington this afternoon. The R.M..S. Sierra, en route from San Francisco, left Honolulu at midnight last Wednesday for Auckland, via Samoa. The vessel, which is well up to echeduie time, j should reach Anckland next Monday afternoon or evening. The Northern S.S. Co. has placed an order with Messrs. Lane and Sons, Auckland, for an auxilia-ry scow for river trade. She will be 35ft long by 12ft beam, and is to be fitted with a five horse-power Price engine.
