TARANAKI PETROLEUM Only seven more days until the closing of the share lists is the announcement,of the Taranaki Oil and Freehold Company, whose advertisement appears in another column of this issue. The company has been very successful in the notation, and it is fully expected that by the 25th inst., the date fixed for allotment, the whole of the shares available for present allotment will have been taken up. It is the intention of the directors to commence boring almost immediately, and there is every indication that the operations of the company will be carried on under the most favoured circumstances. Those who would become shareholders, and have not yet applied, should do so at once. Messrs. V. J.
