DISTURBANCE IN CHILI.
VALPARAISO SHAKEN. THE DAMAGE NOT GREAT. (Received 10.20 a-m.) LONDON, August 17. There is reason to fear that a severe earthquake has also occurred at Valparaiso, in Chili, 400 miles distant from Buenos Ayres across the continentTelegrams, which lack official confirmation, describe very serious outbreaks of fire and heavy shocks, but Later accounts minimise the damage.
