The Building Contracts. LONDON", August 17. "The Shipping Gazette" says that plans for the new steamers for the hew Australian mail service are under-consideration-Messrs. Beardmore and Co., steel manufacturers, Glasgow, and Messrs. Vickers, Son and Maxim, shipbuilders, of London and the Clyde, are conjointly to build four of the steamers; and the firms of Armstrong, Whitworth and Co., of Elswick, Newcastle-on-Tyne. and Messrs. Laing and Son, shipbuilders, Sunderland (contractors for the service), are each to build two.
