Meeting of the Avondale Road Board wil be held oh SATURDAY, the Sth day of September, 1906, at 7.30 P-m., for the purpose of considering, and if thought advisable confirming a Resolution passed at a Special Meeting of the said Board, held on the 6th day of August, 1006, that certain By-laws bo made. The object of the proposed By-laws is lo prevent "heavy traffic," as defined in the Public Works Act, 1905, from being-taken along the roads under the control of the said Board during the months of May, June. July. August, and September, in every year, Jand for computing the weight of the contents of any vehicle or machine, from the cubical measurement thereof, and also to prevent the carriage of water pipes, collars for water pipes, lead, metal elbows, gas pipes, stone, scoria, and manure along such road., until the estimated

cost of reinstating the same shall have been previously paid to the said Board. September 10th, 1006, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of considering, and if thought tit of passing and confirming as a Special Order a Resolution adopted at a Special Meeting of the said Board on August 11th, 1906, to make and levy a Special Rate of _d in the pound npon the ratable valne of all ratable property in the Ellerslie subdivision of the District to provide interest and charges in respect of a loan, £5000, proposed to be raised with which to provide and construct the necessary plant aud materials for a water supply to the Ellerslie subdivision of the said District, such Special Rate to be an annual recurring rate during tbe currency of the said loan, and to be payable half yearly. The proposed Special Order is to take effect on September 24th, 1006. A copy of the said Special Order has been deposited at the Office of the Board.
