A very old resident, Mrs. Joseph R, Dodd, died at the residence of hen daughter, Mrs. N. W. Anderson, Devonstreet, Eden Terrace, suddenly of heart failure on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Dodd arrived at Auckland with hen first husband, Mr. Jonn J. Chapman, forty-two yehrs ago, and resided at Coromandel for about thirty years. Shd leaves two sons and four daughters, and? thirty-one grandchildren. The funeral took place at Purewa Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
