SYDNEY HORSE SHOW.
SYDNEY, August 15. A horse show and parade, the first of the kind held in Sydney, was successfully opened to-day. There were 350 entries, and the exhibits are representative of all the States, and also New Zealand. The parade through the streets attracted a large amount of interest. The sale in connection with the show, which it is proposed to make an annual event, opens to-morrow. The first prize winners were: Thoroughbreds, Mr. Smith's Gaulus and Morton's Rust; trotters, Mr. Playfairis Ribbonwood, Mr. Thompson's Master Suvan, and Mr. Robard's Harold and Scamp: heavy draughts, Lucky Billie, Mr. Cafrey's Kelvinget, and Mr- Reays Brilliant Field.
