Story had been appointed assistant medical officer from the Ist of Augnst, 1006, and I had taken up his residence In Dargaville. The appointment was confirmed on the motion of Mr Webb. The Chairman referred to tht> great assistance rendered the institution, in a most difficult time, by Dr. F. Norton, and moved that a most hearty vote of thanks be accorded Dr. Norton for his Invaluable services and liberal assistance to the N.W. Hospital during the last three .months. Carried unanimously. No money hud been received- from the North Auckland H-. and C. Aid Board on account of the finding: of the Commission, and the secretary was instructed to wire tno Board for urgent attention. It was also agreed to wire the Public Works Department for amount overdue on account of grant for drainage.
