An offer of 40,000 guineas was refnsed for him « few months ago. Sysonby was generally considered to be one of the best horses ever seen in America, and up to a mile was considered a phenomenon. Great things were expected of him this season, oe last year he was practically never asked to extend himself, winning the balk of his engagements with ridiculous ease. HAWKE'S BAT RACES.
