The cbeesp market is steady and there are only small supplies on hand. White Is qnoted at 65/; coloured makes, 63/ per C"t. Hemp is firm, with no change in price. The cocksfoot market is steady, "the demand being only moderate. Average price of 17ib bright clean-dressed New Zealand seed, 47/ per cwt. There is fair demand for better grades of kauri gum. The following are the latest onotations:—Ordinary to fair three-quarter scraped, £6 10/: fair half-scraped, SO/; brown, fair half and three-quarter scraped, 83/; brott-n pickings, common to good, 47/; bush, fair to good pale and amber, scraped, £7 10/ per cwt; stock in hand, 1122 tons.
