--NORTHERN BOXING 'ASSOCIATION.:'''' A, meeting of the executive of the North* era Boxing Association was held last evening. Mr Hamilton presided. Applications were received from several for reinstatement. It was. decided to forward Messrs L. Saxon's, <J- Watson's, B. Kent's, and Ferguson's applications to the New Zealand Council recommending them for favourable consideration... It was; resolved .'to. hold/the' Auckland; provincial championships at the end of July,, so that the association • would be in a position to send a team to represent Anckland. at the New Zealand i championships, held early in August. The programme of events Is to be advertised without further delay. Mr Trudgeon advocated for consideration of members a scheme for building suitable club-rooms for the convenience of the association and Its - members, wherein carnivals could be held on similar lines to thoge established in Australia. The majority of members were favourable to the proposal, and the secretary suggested that a special meeting of all members should be called for the purpose of going thoroughly into the question at an early date The secretary was instructed to obtain particulars and tracings of buildings In Sydney; A gold medal was presented to Mr *K. V. Breach, winner of the lightweight novice, for the valuable services he has rendered the association.
