ARRIVAL OF IMMIGRANTS.

Another hatch of immigrants arrived from the Old Country by the steamer OswJstry Grange this morning. The contingent numbers 30; of whom 24 are for Auckland and the remaining six for. Napier. The Auckland contingent includes a good percentage of females. The men $ like the womenfolk, are young and hardy-looking, the ideal type of colonist. The men are principally miners and labourers. In conversation with some of them a "Star" reporter was told that \they had left England because very little employment was offering there, and on account of the favourable reports they had received of the condition of labour in New Zealand. Several third-class passengers left the steamer at Fremantle, Melbourne, and Sydney, and a very large number disembarked at "Wellington for that port, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Six Napier passengers were brought on to Auckland for transhipment from this port. Four of this batch are fanners, and, having saved money, intend to buy land in Hawke's Bay to carry on tneir farming pursuits.
