MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE.
(By Telegraph.—Own corres&onaent.) TOKATOKA, this day. A unrried man named Hanby, residing at the back of Tokatoka, has mysteriously disappeared since Friday morning. He was at the time doing some work for Mr Anderson at Raupo, and early on Friday morning went out of the shanty in his night apparel. As he did not return his mate became alarmed, and roused; the neighbours. Constable McDonnell, of Aratapu, was communicated with, and on Saturday in company he searched the surrounding country. It is the general opinion that the missing man has gone strange in the head, and has fallen into the Wairoa River close by. A large party of horsemen searched the country on Sunday unsuccessfully. It is the second mysterious disappearance here within the Lust few months.
