HAMILTON, this day. The Thames Valley races were held at Tirau on Saturday. Results:— Hurdles.—Miss -May 1. Also started: Fairy and Stepney. Both ran oft at the first hurdle, and took no further part .in the race. The respective riders, Marchant and Selby, were-ordered to .stand.down for the remainder of the day. _ . Maiden.—Doreen. 1, Waihekau _, Mangamanga' '3. ' Cup.—Haeremai 1, Agrapua 2. Stepney 8. . Hack Race.—Castadrift 1, Maida 2, Leo Lady 3. - --• ■ Flying.—Haeremai 1, Fortification 2, Agrapus 3. A protest ■ entered, on the ground's that the "winner ran inside a flag, was dismissed.
