Holman Hunt's wonderful picture : 'The Light of-the "World" still attracts a very large number of spectators daily—in fact,.it has been found sometimes impossible to close the Art Gallery strictly to time — 4.3o p.m. As evidence it may be mentioned that up to yesterday it i estimated that fully 45,000 people have visited the picture. To-morrow is the last day that it will be on view, and consequently a large crowd is expected. The Cofomandel hospital demonstrationto he held on the" 29tb inst. promises" to be a success. The Hon. Jas. MeGowan has promised to be present. The secretary of the Hospital Demonstration Committee acknowledges a number of donations.
