WAIHI, Thursday. At a meeting of the Waikino branch of the Waihi Miners' Union it was deided to support the Waihi Union in Its action In reference to the dispute between the union delegates and mine-owners. It- was also unanimously agreed to pay a 1/ levy If inquired in connection with Arbitration Court proceedings.
" A meeting ot the stewards ot the Waihi Jockey Clnb was held yesterday ln connection with a protest'against Fleramosca in tlie Bullion Handicap. After hearing evidence, the protest was dismissed. Mr W. C. Fitzgerald, who had announced himself as a candidate lor the Borough Council, neglected, owing to iwcnljlK. to hand in his nomination.
